“From a few selected plots where the soil has a high quartz content, Quarz is fermented in a combination of large wooden barrels and stainless steel, and spends a further nine months on the fine lees. Full, broad and ripe yet showing restraint too with just a light breath of thiols, this is juicy and super-intense. The balance is there though, and the alcohol and acidity sit well within the frame. Very well modulated and surprisingly drinkable, this should also age very well.”
