"The 2023 Morey-Saint-Denis 1er Cru La Forge de Tart, derived from the younger vines within the clos planted between 1999 and 2018 and matured for nearly two years in a combination of oak and ceramic vessels—the latter accounting for approximately one-quarter of the volume—wafts from the glass with aromas of blackcurrant, plum, cassis and red cherry, mingled with spice. Medium- to full-bodied, deep and concentrated, it is rich yet vibrant, with velvety tannins and a more harmonious profile than the estate's village-level Morey-Saint-Denis."
