“The 2023 Clos de Tart Grand Cru is superb, soaring from the glass with a deep and inviting bouquet of peony, red cherry and iris, mingled with subtle smoky nuances and a deft application of new oak. Full-bodied, concentrated and multidimensional, it is elegantly muscular and enveloping, built around a pretty core of fruit, refined, suave tannins and ripe acids that culminate in a delicately perfumed, floral finish. Sensual and harmonious, this cuvée is derived from the oldest vines within the clos, averaging 50 years of age, and possesses the balance and structure to offer a broad and extended enjoyment window.”
