“The 2022 L'Esprit des Pavots is a blend of 47% Knights Valley and 53% Oakville fruit. The blend is 59% Cabernet Sauvignon, 22% Merlot, 11% Cabernet Franc, and 8% Petit Verdot. Deep garnet-purple in color, notes of baked plums, boysenberry preserves, and blackberry pie jump from the glass, plus hints of Chinese five spice and dusty soil. The full-bodied palate is packed with black fruit preserves flavors with a lightly chewy texture and plenty of freshness, finishing on a spicy note.”
